WELCOME TO CAMBIO INTERNO SUMPANGO GUATEMALA

We are located at the gateway from the west to the east of Guatemala, 40 kilometers from the capital city, a place full of art and Mayan customs. It is an agricultural town, where almost the entire population depends on agricultural work. Sumpango is recognized worldwide for making giant kites, a national heritage.

In 2014, we moved to live in this beautiful place, without imagining that here we would hear the call of God to be missionaries of InnerCHANGE, a ministry to which we have belonged since 2019. Sharing and being part of this community in Sumpango already for 10 years, we know the needs, such as inequality, lack of opportunities, family problems and others. Responding to these needs, God has guided us to work in four areas.

Relational Discipleship: We work so that young people of Sumpango have the opportunity to know Jesus and make the decision to follow Him, as well as help them grow in faith. 

Scholarships: We provide academic development opportunities to young people who are in high school and do not have the economic resources and who have the desire to study to have a better future for themselves and their families. The scholarships cover registration, monthly tuition, school supplies, uniforms and transportation when required.

Reading Club: This is aimed at pre-primary and primary school children. In the case of pre-primary they are taught to read and write to create a reading habit. In the case of primary school, it is to help them improve their reading and writing skills.

Trade School: This is a dream that we hope to start soon hat would working toward individual technical and professional training, achieving entry into the labor force for young people who have developed skills in handling tools, and training in interpersonal relationship skills and more.
